Chemical Peels work by applying a formulated chemical solution to the face. Once applied, the outermost layer of facial skin begins to peel. Who is a good candidate to undergo a Chemical Peel treatment?

Chemical Peels can effectively treat a wide variety of aesthetic issues including wrinkles, fine lines, acne scarring, sun damage, uneven skin tone, and more. We perform a skin analysis to determine the right Chemical Peel for each patient we consult with.

Are Chemical Peels painful to undergo?

Some patients experience a mild burning sensation on their skin during treatment, however Chemical Peels are not considered painful. This sensation is temporary and we can help minimize this by utilizing a cooling device. Depending on the depth of the peel, Chemical Peels may cause redness and sloughing for 3 – 5 days (or even 7 – 10 days in some cases).
